Because Bountiful Baby sells reborning supplies to artists older than 12 years old (we primarily sell to adult artists), we believe we are exempt from the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). Never-the-less, some of our customers may not be exempt from the CPSIA requirements. Because of that, we plan on actively testing our products to ensure compliance with the CPSIA, across our entire Bountiful Baby product line.
The Toy Safety Certification Program (TSCP) is an initiative in partnership with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to provide a sustainable system to ensure the safety of children's toys sold in the United States. The program applies to toys produced anywhere in the world which are intended for United States markets and is designed to ensure compliance with safety guidelines enforced by the United States government.
In conformance with the CPSIA, our vinyl doll parts have been tested for lead and phthalates, and have been found to be lead-free and phthalates-free. Our vinyl doll parts have also been tested to be in compliance with the European Standard EN71. Bountiful Baby also intends to do periodic "spot" testing in the future to ensure continued compliance.
Qualifying retailers can access detailed testing certificate information directly from the TSCP website: www.toycertification.org
